Seymour Equine Clinic offers a comprehensive range of equine veterinary services for horses of all shapes and sizes. Our experienced equine veterinarians have a wide range of medical and surgical skills to treat your horses both on farm and at the purpose built clinic.

Reproduction
Equine reproductive management encompasses a large proportion of our caseload. We manage pregnancies from conception to first suckle and can help your mare get in foal then maintain her pregnancy throughout gestation. We offer all aspects of artificial breeding including stallion collection and subsequent processing of chilled or frozen semen, mare insemination, embryo transfer and long term storage of frozen semen if required. With a vet living on site, we can foal down your mare and also provide intensive foal care if things don’t go to plan.
Field services
Seymour Equine Clinic provides a routine daily service to horse owners in the areas of Seymour, Nagambie, Yea, Puckapunyal, Avenel, Strath Creek, Broadford, Heathcote and surroundings. Our veterinarians travel in vehicles with routine medications, bandage and dressing materials, surgery kits, stomach tubes, farrier and dental equipment. They are well equipped for most eventualities.
Pre-purchase exams
Pre-purchase examinations are performed regularly by the veterinarians either at the clinic or on farm. Veterinarians follow the guidelines set out by the Australian Veterinary Association. Upper respiratory tract endoscopy examinations, reproductive assessments, radiography and drug screening can be performed if required.
Intensive and post-operative care
We can provide intensive care for medical case such as medical colic management, wounds and injuries, diarrhoea etc. The clinic has a heated neonatal intensive care stable which allows the resident veterinarian to monitor and treat sick foals as required.
Digital Radiography
The clinic has a digital x-ray machine. This offers instant high quality images that allow the vets to immediately assess the x-rays whilst on site.
